Ann Daly is an established artist and the owner/artist of the Atlantic Way Gallery in the magnificent coastal village of Liscannor, Co.Clare, only 4 miles from the Cliffs of Moher giving her direct creative contact with the living breathing force of the Atlantic. Ann captures the West Coast of Irelands seascapes by painting in oils using palette knives thickly applied creating a tangible impasto form. She is drawn to working with contrasts of dark and light referencing her own powerful images and childhood memories of the West of Ireland with emphasis on capturing the atmospheric light and fleeting moments the Atlantic weather dictates.
